At age 6, Christina Brunette was told she had an inoperable tumor on her spinal column. Although her condition appeared bleak, Paul and Angela, her parents, were consistently uplifted by the support of family and friends. They also looked to God and the scriptures for encouragement and hope during this difficult time. Christina endured a difficult year of radiation and chemotherapy treatments and the tumor shrunk and then disappeared! She is now a health young lady and visits other sick children offering them comfort and hope.

In gratitude, the Brunette family founded the first Basket of Hope in their hometown, St. Louis, and are delighted to be able to serve children in 11 other cities. Our goal is to raise $100,000 with The Kilimanjaro Charity Climb to help the new Chicago location get started. This money would help fund them for a year!

The Mission of Basket of Hope is to give the hope that comes from Jesus to newly diagnosed children and their families affected by cancer or other serious illnesses, primarily by the delivery of a Basket of Hope filled with inspirational materials to nourish them mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him. - Romans 15:13
